Wonderpig,
Since this was classified as a violation of team rules I'm thinking it was for something other than missing class. The class policy is an institutional thing, and not so much a team rule. Surrency probably missed a meeting or was out later than he needed to be or something a little worse. Though, one game entials it's something simple. But you never know.

And yeah, I think Parker had some trouble adjusting early on. The arrest appeared to shake him, which is good because it forced him to look inside himself. But there's something still lingering because he hasn't been explosive and appears to be going through the motions. Imagine how good the offense would be if he was his old self.

This is the guy from Miami who never played high school ball because he was always in trouble with the authorities. He's 24, and he saw what happened to Bert Reed last week, so if it's ditching classes he should know better. With a fellow like this, who has had discipline problems, one always suspects the worst.

With all these suspensions of FSU wideouts, one would expect Preston Parker to have better stats. He had a decent game against NC State, but other than that he has been the forgotten man on the Noles this year, so much so that now they are once again talking about putting him in as a running back.

It might be because the new QB, Ponder, doesn't throw as well as Weatherford, or because the O-line isn't giving them enough time;
but it could also be a biblical thing: like Sampson, Preston Parker just ain't been the same man since he cut his dreadlocks off.
